Golden Sunflower

I am grateful to the freedom from standard colors Jayne Persico gave me when I learned color mixing from her this last January. This sunflower's golden colors come from a mix based on woodland brown. Mixing the color myself allowed me to control the shading through the tip of each petal.

Dichroic Glass Jewelry

At the urging of several supporters (you know who you are) I committed to finally adding some examples of my jewelry and removing what had seemed to become the permanent "under construction sign" on the jewelry page of my website. I even manged to throw in some high level information on dichroic glass.

Cast away your troubles...

One of my absolute favorite technique is casting. When I'm working I forget everything outside the glass in front of me. My stress, thoughts of work or home float away. These worries are replaced with my hopes and vision for the piece. It's as if I cast these thoughts, and feelings into the piece itself. There they float along with the colors, encapsulated in glass.
